Championing District 3

My name is Scott Goodman, and I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Murray City Council. As a long-time resident and current City Councilman for District 3, I’ve been actively working to make Murray a safer, stronger, and more connected place for all of us. Whether it’s partnering with Murray City Police to focus on traffic hazards at key intersections and road speeds, working with our Salt Lake County counterparts to focus on higher crime areas, advocating for smarter infrastructure planning, or ensuring we preserve as much of Murray’s rich history as possible, my focus has always been on delivering meaningful, common-sense improvements that reflect the voices of our community.

I believe that good leadership starts with listening — and taking action. That’s why I’ve been at the forefront of conversations about public safety, accessibility, strategic development, and historical preservation. Murray’s past shapes its future, and I am committed to protecting the heritage that makes our city unique, while ensuring smart growth and progress that benefits every resident. I’m running because I care deeply about this city’s future, and I’m ready to continue the hard work of turning good ideas into real progress for the people of Murray.
